"Forse", "probabilmente" si possono tradurre perhaps, maybe o utilizzando l'ausiliare may / might ("potere"), che esprime incertezza o probabilità ed è sempre seguito dall'infinito (presente o passato, secondo il significato della frase):

Forse parla inglese.
Perhaps she speaks English. Maybe she speaks English. /    She may speak English.

Forse è partita.
Perhaps she has left. Maybe she has left. She may have left.

La frase It's the first tìme that... ("È la prima volta che...") non è seguita dal verbo al presente, come in italiano, bensì dal verbo al passato prossimo:

Pensare, Credere - Come si dice in inglese

In inglese i verbi think ("pensare") e believe ("credere") non pospone mai essere seguiti da un verbo all'infinito, ma da un verbo coniugato al passato, al presente o al futuro, secondo il significato
della frase:

Pensiamo di poter risolvere il problema.
We think we can solve the problem.

Pensate di spedire le merci domani?
Do you think you will send the goods tomorrow?

Non crediamo di essere responsabili
We believe we are not responsible. 

Pensavamo di avere ragione.
We thought we were right.

Sono molto spiacente dell'equivoco.
I apologize for the mistake.

È vero.
